Who's Not?

Who's Who Online(SM) is a reference resource offering professional and biographical data about individuals of accomplishment who are part of the worldwide Internet community.

Perhaps just as important as who we are, however, is who Who's Who Online(SM) is not.

Who's Who Online(SM) is not:

• Usenet Addresses (MIT) - is a service which allows you to search for e-mail addresses if you know the name of a person, or the name of the organization that provides their net access. This server will return the entries that it thinks best match your query, from among 4,168,042 addresses collected from Usenet postings between July 1991 and February 1996. An excellent resource!
• Yahoo! People Search - which offers visitors to the site the opportunity to both search for an individual's e-mail address, as well as to register their own names, primary and supplementary e-mail addresses, and the schools they attended.
• Internet Public Companies and their Millionaire Owners - A list of some Internet-related companies and their major shareholders, with shareholder figures taken from prospectuses filed with each company's S-1s. As the site says, "At least someone is making money on the Internet."
• Internet Address Finder - another Internet "White Pages" to try.

And, so you don't confuse us with any of the who's who print publications out there,

Who's Who Online(SM) is also not:

• Marquis Who's Who - a publisher of many traditional who's who print publications.
  W.L. Ross and Company recently announced the purchase of Marquis Who's Who from Reed Elsevier.
• International Who's Who - another of the many traditional who's who print publishers, this title compiled by the Who's Who Historical Society® which claims to have been "documenting biographies for history" since 1928.
